Comedian YY rubbishes Wakimani's claims that Churchill gifted comedians cars, Ksh300K each

Comedian YY has rubbished fellow comedian Paul 'Wakimani' Ogutu's claim that comedy chief Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill gifted them cars and at least Ksh300,000 each.

Through his Instagram, YY while questioning the intentions behind the overarching lie, he clarified that Ogutu's reports are outright fabrications.

He not only claimed that Wakimani is portraying them as ungrateful but also opined that his claims have placed most Churchill show comedians in an awkward position of debunking the wrong information.

"Let me clarify because a lot of people are asking. No one bought us cars, no one Paul. You cannot make people look ungrateful. Of whose interest is all this showroom story?? Comedians can't talk because they will look like they are fighting Churchill and everyone is carefully looking for a specific angle to respond to this story. The direct answer is nobody bought us cars. Sijui mahali Paulo ametoa hiyo story," YY stated.

YY's clarification comes in light of Wakimani's baseless claims that Churchill gifted comedians cars and cash after a consultative meeting with all his employees.

In the clip, he explained that on a certain afternoon, he called all comedians to address their woes which closely touched on their salaries.

During the meeting, he asked them what they needed and two things: cars and money dominated their requests. They were then divided into two and each received what they had asked for.

However, in a plot twist, when he asked to at least give names of who received what, Wakimani claimed to have forgotten the names poking holes into his tale.

"One day Churchill invited us to Lang'ata for a meeting over our welfare. During the meeting, he asked us what we wanted. Some people said they wanted cars while others requested money. We were later divided into two groups and later Churchill gave out the cars and Ksh300,000 each," Wakimani stated.
