A 24-year-old Tanzanian man, George has left netizens stunned and many cheering for love. 

The 24-year-old stunned many as he told his love story with his 56 year age gap girlfriend Catherine Thomas.

George, who was a school dropout and turned into a boda boda rider explained that he met his 80-year-old girlfriend as he would carry her on daily to her business.  

Catherine, the mother of five elaborated that she felt lonely after her husband died and needed to feel loved. 

"ï needed to feel loved" Catherine explained. 

Their love story however began after Catherine mistakenly left a bag full of 6 million Tanzanian shillings (380, 000 Ksh) as George ferried her home. 

The old woman further explained that afterward, she left for a few weeks, and to her surprise when she came back George brought over the bag full of cash and since then Catharine claimed he won her heart. 

"When I returned, he brought back the money, which is how he won my heart."

Catherine had then approached George and asked him to start dating her. However, George said it took a while to process it but he later agreed. And since then they've been together. 

It took a while to process it and I said yes, critics wonder why I love someone as old as my grandmother but I don't care." George said.

Despite Georges' view about not caring the two have faced opposition from family and society. The two further explained how Catherine's child could not understand why she would date someone younger than them, as her firstborn is 43 while her last lastborn is 35.
