Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party has proposed further scrutiny of the proposed Finance Bill 2024 even after the government agreed to remove controversial tax proposals.
In a statement by National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi on Tuesday, the Opposition Party said it would push the President William Ruto-led government to implement more changes to the Bill to make it favourable to the people.
Terming the move by the Kenya Kwanza government to remove controversial proposals ‘mind games’ to Kenyans, the Coalition opined that the drastic change of mind was ill-intended to dupe the public to restore their belief in the government’s need to change the economy.
