Usually eaten raw, apples can also be used in various recipes, juices, and drinks. Various types abound, with a variety of colors and sizes.
Apples are composed of water, carbohydrates, proteins, fibre, fat and sugar. The fibre in apples moderates blood sugar levels and promotes guy health.
Apples are also rich in Vitamin C and potassium which benefits the heart when consumed in high amounts.
The fruit has also been linked to it's benefits in aiding weight loss due to its high fibre and low calorie counts.
Apples can help lower blood sugar levels and prevent Diabetes type 2, blood cholesterol, heart illnesses and also protect against colon and lung cancer.
