Woman arrested for kiling her husband over USh.50,000(ksh 1754)

A 29-year-old woman accused of murdering her 30-year-old husband Brian Twimukye in a domestic altercation has been detained by police.
The incident reportedly occurred on November 19, 2024 at Rubirizi District, Uganda.
According to Bushenyi Region police spokesperson Marcial Tumusiime, as quoted by the Monitor, the couple quarrelled after the husband questioned the origin of USh.50,000 (Ksh. 1754) that the wife allegedly could not account for.
Fearing assault during the argument, the suspect is said to have grabbed a nearby panga, resulting in a struggle that left Twimukye with severe injuries to his neck, arms, and leg. He was rushed to Rugazi Health Centre IV but succumbed to his injuries an hour later.
Twimukye and the suspect had been living together for two years and had recently relocated to Rubirizi in August 2024 with their six-month-old daughter.
The incident took place in a relatively isolated home, Investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to piece together details of the tragic event.
