The Firearms Licensing Board (FLB) has moved its services to the eCitizen platform in compliance with a government directive.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, February 6, the FLB announced the integration with eCitizen noting that all payments will be done through the platform.
"The Firearms Licensing Board (FLB) wishes to notify all its stakeholders that the institution has seamlessly integrated with the eCitizen Platform and payments will henceforth be channelled through the eCitizen gateway on PAYBILL 222222," FLB stated.
With the integration, firearm owners and stakeholders can now access a range of services through the eCitizen platform.
The services include;
These services include obtaining a Firearm Certificate, renewing Firearm Certificates, acquiring a Firearm Certificate Card, as well as processing requests for Ballistics and Variation.
Additionally, individuals can apply for Temporary Permits to Possess a Firearm, Import/Export permits, Removal Permits, and Firearm Dealers Permits through the platform
Students at the University of Nairobi now need to pay for their meals using the e-Citizen platform.
This change comes because the Kenyan government wants all payments to the university to go through their online portal.
"The Kenyan Government has mandated that all payments to the University of Nairobi be made via the E-Citizen platform. Complying with this directive, the University has established the required systems to enable clients to make payments through e-Citizen. To pay for services, please follow the instructions provided below," the memo stated.
To follow this rule, the university has set up systems for payments through e-Citizen.
To pay for meals, students should use the pay bill number 222222 and include their Outlet/Live identifier and name as the account number (like NUK1-name).
This applies to all the kitchens on the university's campuses.
