Speaking after being handed over the certificate, Boyd thanked the people of Kasipul for having elected him as their next MP after the death of his father, Ong’ondo Were, in April this year, promising to continue with the development agenda that was initiated by him.

Homa Bay Governor and ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga said Boyd’s victory is a clear indication that the party is still strong in the region.

Wanga stated that her government will work closely with the MP-elect to ensure Kasipul is developed.
